Peer to peer training activities initially were coordinated on a group-based level. In year 1, fellows jointly took part in an online training course on speech processing. They had weekly Skype sessions to discuss the materials and any questions that had arisen. For internal convenience, it was decided to shift it to a non-compulsory, modular system for peer to peer training. Over the last year, there have been various training activities both on an individual (e.g. knowledge transfer on EEG data processing) as well as needs-based level (e.g. group for fellows using eye tracking and pupillometry, exchanging scripts and reading papers together). For the future, ESRs are aiming to develop a common framework for techniques used by different fellows (e.g. subjective assessment of listening effort) in order to increase comparability. They further plan to continue their needs-based, informal training activities among fellows as they have proven particularly effective and helpful.
